Contact/Location

Phone Contact: Please feel free to call us at 801-268-1564. We check our messages and return calls at least several times a day. Please leave your name, message, and times and numbers at which your are available. Due to the nature of our business and to keep costs low we are on a call back basis only.

Fax Contact: Our fax number is 801-268-1565. On very rare occasion our fax machine has been found to be incompatible with other machines. If you believe you are encountering that problem please contact any of our staff members.

Electronic Correspondence: We discourage the use of email and Text Messaging (and similar formats), especially for the discussion of personal information because it is not considered to be a secure (private) form of communication and because of other associated difficulties. Clients may agree to sign a consent acknowledging they accept these risks and difficulties and use these modalities of communication with us. We will then use these modalities only on the basis of referring to the minimum necessary information to accomplish what a client requests. The risks and difficulties of each are listed below:

Email Contact: The difficulties with the use of email include:
  • Email may be forwarded, printed, and stored in numerous paper and electronic forms.
  • Email may be sent to the wrong address by either party.
  • Email may be easier to forge than handwritten or signed papers.
  • Copies of email may exist even after the sender or the receiver has deleted his or her copy.
  • Email service providers (of both the sender and the receiver) have a right to archive and inspect emails.
  • Email may be intercepted, altered, or used without detection or authorization.
  • Email may spread computer viruses.
  • Email delivery is not guaranteed nor is it necessarily instantaneous.

Text Messaging and Similar Formats: The difficulties with the use of text messaging and similar formats include:

  • Texts may be forwarded, printed, and stored in numerous paper and electronic forms.
  • Texts may be sent to the wrong phone. There is a bug (at least one) that can do this.
  • Texts are easily forged.
  • Copies of texts may exist even after the sender or the receiver has deleted his or her copy.
  • Texts may be intercepted, altered, or used without detection or authorization.
  • Texts may be used to spread computer viruses.
  • Text delivery is not guaranteed nor is it necessarily instantaneous.

Social Media:

We have developed a social media policy because the use of various types of electronic communications is common in our society, and many individuals believe this is the preferred method of communication. However, they may put your privacy at risk and can be inconsistent with the law and with the standards of our professions.

Appointments: Our individual professionals schedule their own appointments. Every effort is made to see the client as soon as possible. We are not able to accept walk-ins. There is a charge for missed appointments.

Current Office Locations:

Christian Counseling Centers of Utah is taking the following precautions to protect our clients and help slow the spread of the COVID-19.*

  • We encourage telehealth, telework, and avoid in person meetings where possible.
  • When in public I and my staff wear facemasks.
  • We maintain safe distancing.
  • Seating in the waiting room and clinician offices has been arranged to allow for appropriate physical distancing. All are asked to avoid sitting within 6 feet of nonfamily members.
  • All employees are required to take sick leave if they have a fever or other symptoms.
  • Restroom soap dispensers are maintained; everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.
  • Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the waiting room (in the rolltop desk).
  • Tissue dispenser, clipboards, pens, and other areas that are commonly touched are thoroughly sanitized after each use.
  • Office and waiting room furniture, and less commonly touched areas are thoroughly sanitized frequently.
  • Physical contact with staff is discouraged.
  • Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.

*We will continue to evaluate potential contagion risks as circumstances change and to follow updated local, state, or federal orders or guidelines; the above actions may be adjusted or added to as a result.
